Queens Symphony Orchestra’s 2012 Arts and Music Festival, titled 1001 Voices, is sure to outshine any musical event in the orchestra’s past. The festivities include three preview concert and lecture events, a family-friendly opening event featuring a cello performance by Jung-Hsuan Ko, the 2011 QSO Young Soloist Competition winner, a second concert featuring works by composers Justine Chen and George Tsontakisand, and a grand finale that includes Franzetti's family opera Gauchito and the Pony. The final concert will also feature the world premiere of 1001 Voices: A Symphony for Queens, a performance that promises to wow even the youngest audience members.
