NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and The American Lung Association Host “Freedom from Smoking Group Quit Program”


NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and The American Lung Association will host a free eight-week program for members of the community to learn about how to quit smoking that began on Thursday, October 4th at Primary Care Center, 182-15/19 Horace Harding Expressway in Fresh Meadows.

Overseen by a certified facilitator, the program will help attendees understand: if they are truly ready to quit smoking; medications, lifestyle changes and strategies for managing stress that can help support individuals looking to stop smoking; ways to avoiding weight gain during a cessation program; and how to stay smoke free for good.
