Rolling River to Host 22nd Annual Fall Festival for Kids & Families

Fall is the perfect time of year for festive events and the Rolling River Fall Festival plans to deliver another kid-focused, outdoor extravaganza! The 22nd Annual Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 20 from 12:00-4:00pm (raindate Sunday, October 21) on the grounds of Rolling River Day Camp in East Rockaway. This fun-filled event celebrates fall with carnival rides, music, crafts and more. Activities are family-focused and appropriate for children ages 1-12.

The Fall Festival includes a variety of activity zones and attendees are encouraged to explore the entirety of the campgrounds. The main attraction is the “Ride Zone”. The “Ride Zone” includes bounce houses, carnival rides, facepainting, balloon animals, pony rides, a petting zoo, DJ music, gaga, beach volleyball, and mini golf. Admission into the “Ride Zone” is $15/child and children who are enrolled for Summer Camp 2019 at Rolling River receive complimentary admission.

The “Kids Zone” is a free admission area that includes fun-filled kids activities and giveaways. The “Kids Zone” features access to Tumbling Tides Gymnastics, Sand and Pebble Playgrounds, bikes and trikes, an arts and crafts station, vendor booths with giveaways, clothing sales, raffle prizes, and more.

The Festival also features a main stage for performances from local businesses as well as interactive demos. This year’s schedule includes performances from The Dance Space, School of Rock, and Grace Thunderettes as well as demos from Studio Noir and Breathe N Flow Yoga. Remember to break out your Halloween costume as the main stage will also host a special Halloween costume contest for great prizes.

Food and Refreshments will be available for purchase under the main tent. Featured items will include a BBQ cookout as well as dessert and snack options. Rolling River is excited to partner with the Doughology Food Truck to also bring delicious donut options to this year’s festival.

The Rolling River Fall Festival serves as a fundraiser for “The Campmates Program," a camp scholarship initiative with New Horizon Counseling Center in Valley Stream. All ticket and food sales will help provide tuition-free camp scholarships to local, deserving children nominated by the counseling center. The 2018 festival is proudly sponsored by Local Luxuries, Macaroni Kid Long Beach-RVC-Oceanside, Hulafrog Town of Hempstead, Clowns.com, Painted Faces, and Long Island Parent.
