Here are the batting cages in the New York metro area where you can practice your swing.


Looking to practice your baseball or softball swing? These batting cages offer a variety of baseball and softball pitching machines that can be customized by skill level or age. Our guide includes hours, admission, and COVID-19 precautions, but be sure to call ahead to make sure they are operating as normal on the day you want to visit!

Batting Cages in Manhattan

Admission: $65 for a half an hour in the cage (with up to three people) and $95 for an hour in the cage (with up to three people)
The Baseball Center NYC provides a variety of baseball and softball pitching machines customized to meet needs of every age and skill level, with speeds of 35mph, 45mph, 60mph and 75mph. The Pro-Batter high-tech pitching machine can throw virtually any pitch a pitcher can deliver while also featuring a large video projection screen which projects HD quality images of actual pitchers. One player is allowed in a cage at a time and masks and social distancing are required.

Admission: Indoor batting cage tokens cost $3, or $55 for 20 tokens, $110 for 40 tokens. Tunnel rentals cost $35 for a half hour rental, $60 for an hour rental. Team arena rentals cost $60 for a half hour rental and $110 for a one hour rental.
Brooklyn Sluggers offers baseball and softball pitching machines to meet the needs of all ages and skill levels. Hitters can customize velocity of the ball to get the pitch speed they want and can also select height to get the ball precisely where they want it. Batting Cages in Queens

The Cage Baseball

Admission: Rates start at $35 for a half an hour in the batting cage and $55 for an hour. Standard rate for infield rental starts at $95 for one hour or upgrade to larger infield for $140/hour or largest infield for $180/hour.

Batting Cages on Long Island

Frozen Ropes

Hours: Open weekdays: 2-8pm, weekends: 10am-3pm. They also offer flexibility to customers to stay open earlier or later.
Admission: Rental (per indoor tunnel) starts at $30 for non-members and $27 for members for half an hour, while $60 for non-members and $54 for members enable one hour session. Call for full field rental rates.
Frozen Ropes Syosset at LI Sports Hub provides five multi-functional tunnels (four hitting, one pitching, with all nets retractable in order to provide more open spaces, as well as baseball pitching mounds, softball pitching mats, L-Screens, batting tees and instructional aids. The Batting Cage has offered professional private instruction for baseball and softball for 39 years, focusing on hitting, pitching or fielding. Their indoor facility offers cage rental times for individual and team rates, as well as yearly memberships which entitles you to discounted pricing.

Admission: Youth program rates vary. 3-con ages 3-5 starts at $130, while mini-sluggers ages 3-5, juniors ages 5-7, minors ages 8-9, and majors ages 10-12 start at $296. (Note: Lower prices are available for spring/summer bookings in advance).
ProSwing has a variety of baseball and softball options for all ages and skill levels as well as a winter-break camp running from February 15th to 18th. In addition to personal training, the facility also offers individual/group lessons, boot camps, personal training classes, summer camps and clinics, and even special events such as birthday parties or bar/bat mitzvahs.

Admission: Batting cage rentals available at rates of $25 for fifteen minutes, $30 for half an hour, and $60 for one hour. Batting cage tokens offer 20 pitches per token, with rates of $3 for one token, $10 for four tokens and $20 for nine tokens.
While this place is primarily known for ice skating all year round, they also provide batting cages that offer speeds from 40-85mph for softball and baseball. Patrons must bring their own bats and helmets at this time.

Admission: Winter session rates start at $700 for 12 sessions in three months. Four one hour sessions are $250, eight one hour sessions are $500, 12 one hour sessions are $700.
Ken Ulrich has taught baseball and softball for 20 years. Not only are instructors and coaching staff qualified from scholastic, collegiate, or professional ranks, but they also have experience in school teaching professions across the Rockland County area and possess communication skills to interact with children of all ages. Winter clinic sessions offered on Mondays and Wednesdays on January 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th 18th, 20th, 25th, 27th, February 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, March 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd and 24th.

New Jersey Sports Academy offers a facility for athletes of all ages and skill levels in not only baseball and softball, but also lacrosse and soccer.
