Six Flags Great Adventure to Debut Gravity-Defying Ride in 2018

Six Flags Great Adventure to Debut Gravity-Defying Ride in 2018

Six Flags Great Adventure is adding a new DC Comics thrill ride called CYBORG Cyber Spin in late spring of 2018.

Thrill-seekers, rejoice: Six Flags Great Adventure announced a new gravity-defying ride that is not for the faint of heart, according to a press release.

CYBORG Cyber Spin was created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of comic book brand DC Entertainment and is the world’s first thrill ride themed after DC superhero Cyborg, the half human, half machine character from the comic Justice League

Riders will be spun 70 feet above the ground around three separate axes while rotating forward, backward, and sideways in a gondola with floorless seats. It will seat 24 people with over-the-shoulder harnesses.

This new ride will join the Metropolis area of the park near JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis—a 4-D family thrill ride and gaming adventure that just opened this summer; BATMAN The Ride; THE DARK KNIGHT Coaster; and the Studio 28 Arcade.

CYBORG Cyber Spin is expected to open in late spring of 2018. To learn more about the ride, visit the Six Flags Great Adventure website.

Six Flags Great Adventure is located in Jackson, NJ off of I-95. Season passes for 2018 are now on sale, which will grant visitors unlimited visits on any operating day for the rest of 2017 and all of 2018. These passes start at $72.99.

Until the ride opens in 2018, here is a sneak peek of what visitors can expect.
