An Immersive Pop-Up Playground Inspired by Dreams Is Opening in Brooklyn

This playground will turn all of your dreams into reality.

Ever wish you can escape reality to visit a dreamland, even for just an hour? All of your wildest dreams are about to become a reality at this pop-up immersive playground set to open in Brooklyn.

Dream Machine is a dream-like, surrealistic playground opening on Thursday, April 5 in Williamsburg. It aims to “tap into our desire to experience the childlike wonder of our dreams during waking hours,” according to a press release.

Visitors are invited to let their imaginations run wild as they walk through 10 rooms inspired by sleep to bring dreams to real life. Experiences including floating through clouds, dreaming in black and white, and exploring a galactic infinity room. The entire playground wheelchair accessible is a self-guided tour that lasts approximately an hour.

Dream Machine was created by Gary Johnson and Paige Solomon, who worked together at an experiential agency in New York to create “magical moments” for brands such as Netflix, Instagram, Uber, and Pinterest. The two set out to create their own standalone experience inspired by their dreams.

Tickets are only available online and cost $38 and free for children 3 and younger. Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers and large bags are not permitted inside and can be stored in a separate area.

Dream Machine is located at 93 N. 9th St. in Williamsburg and runs through May 31 from Thursday-Tuesday, 10am-10pm. For more information on the experience, visit the Dream Machine website. See you in dreamland!
