This summer, grab the whole family, a blanket, and a beach chair for some outdoor musical fun! What better way to spend time with your kids than listening to some of these family-friendly bands under the stars from June to August? Here's our list of free summer concerts in Fairfield, Rockland, and Westchester Counties.

This summer, the Sherman Green is offering a variety of fun, interactive music performances every Wednesday.  Bring your kids and enjoy a day filled with dancing, singing, and jamming in the sun!

Downtown Sound Summer Concert Series
Veterans Memorial Park; 38 Canal St. East
July 22, July 29, August 5 (Rain date: August 12); 5:00pm-9:00pm

Celebrate this citywide initiative with a night of live music, handmade artisans, children’s activities and more!  Special guests include The Royal Din Balkun Brothers, the Alpaca Gnomes Hubinger, and The Kazoo Crew Family Band.

Enjoy a peaceful evening with a variety of musical acts in the beautiful Elizabeth Park Conservancy.  All concerts are free and occur every Wednesday from June 29 to August 10.  Musical guests include Simply Swing, Goza, and Zydeco Hogs.

Experience Congers outdoor summer concert series with Country Fresh, a high-energy modern country band.  Grab your cowboy boots and your family; it’s bound to be a fun hoedown.

Make Music Day 2016

Make Music Day is a day celebrated in 700 towns worldwide, dedicated to music.  The day is filled with live music along with pop-up concerts all around the community.  Each performance venue will be accompanied by fun activities for you and your kids.

Hudson River Museum Amphitheater Summer Series

All concerts start at 8:00pm

The Hudson River Museum offers various forms of free outdoor entertainment from June to August! Performances range from music, to movies, to comedy, to theater.

Grab a beach chair and blanket to enjoy free outdoor concerts all summer at The Green in the center of the mall. Concerts take place on the main stage near Michael Kors and will be packed with a variety of genres!

Kid’s DJ Dance Parties at SummerFest Stage

Thursdays July 14-28; 6:00-8:00

Every Wednesday, kids 5 to 12 can come by to dance while WPLJ DJ Mike Allan plays some of the hottest hits! There are dance-off contests, hula hoop contests, and tons of cool prizes to win. Parents are required to stay with their children.

Putnam Valley Parks 2016 Summer Concert Series

Rock out with some of your favorite bands and music acts at this year’s summer concert series! Contests, food, dancing, and great times; you don’t want to miss out!

Stop by the Hudson River Museum for a day of dance filled with workshops in music and dance.  An performance by Sarah Lawrence College students will take place later that evening and it’s bound to be fun for the whole family.

Wednesdays July 13 – August 10

Spend your Wednesday evenings at Ridge Hill’s Town Square for free outdoor music by local artists performing a variety of musical styles.  Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy this great lineup with your family under the stars.
