In September, Gan Eden Preschool, a preschool that combines American and Israeli educational practices, began offering new dance and drama programs as part of its regular curriculum. The dance and drama classes assist in teaching Israeli and American culture. The school also added a new soccer program that helps improve strength and motor abilities in children ages 1-5.

The preschool’s dance program utilizes group dancing and nurtures the feeling of movement. The program incorporates age appropriate dances for all Gan Eden students, including ballet and Dance through Story.

The drama program aims to help children express themselves by acting out their feelings. Jewish holidays are also incorporated into the drama class, teaching traditional Jewish culture through acting.

Two teachers, one Israeli and one American, teach all classes at Gan Eden Preschool. Lessons are divided into half Hebrew and half English speaking and writing activities.

“The goal [of Gan Eden School] is to create a bridge between American and Israeli people,” says Avishag Mofaz, director and owner. “In general, it’s a place that teaches the beauty of the two cultures side by side.”

Classes are flexible to the needs of parents and are available in short day, long day, and extended day programs. The preschool runs year-around with a 10-month program from September to June and a summer program. Registration is open for late school entry while space is available.

All programs are welcoming to religious and non-religious families.
