HappyFest Obstacle Course and Festival Coming to Long Island

HappyFest Obstacle Course and Festival Coming to Long Island

If you’ll be in the Calverton, LI area on October 15th, HappyFest is the place to visit. HappyFest is the very first all-ages, all-abilities obstacle course and festival of its kind and will be held from 9:30AM to 1PM at Long Island Sports Park, at 149 Edwards Ave., Calverton, NY, on Oct. 15th.

Families with kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in games, fitness events, hear live music, and more for a day of jam-packed, family-friendly fun. The all-activity level obstacle course will include a tire run, a balance beam, a challenge wall, ramps, hurdles, and rope swings on over 1.25 miles of track space ending with a whimsical bubble finish line! Each obstacle offers a wheelchair accessible alternative, making the course fun and doable for children with all levels of mobility. It’s autism-friendly too.

HappyFest was thought up by CEO Adam Stengel who admired the “Tough Mudder” and “The Color Run” course races. He saw a need for something more all-inclusive and wanted to also create an event that could be enjoyed by families with kids of varying ages and abilities. His son uses a wheelchair, so this sentiment hits him close to home. From there, HappyFest was born!

Be sure to make your way to HappyFest this year, for its second season – this past May, the first event was held in New Jersey. For more information about this amazing event or to register, visit the HappyFest website.
