Kidville, a parent-child enrichment facility that aims to provide a fun and safe environment for learning and development, opened its Wantagh location Sept. 12. The facility offers enrichment programs for newborn to 6-year-olds, including its new Kidville University class and Kidville’s signature Rockin’ Railroad program. Birthday parties for children younger than 8, camp, and dance classes are also available.

Kidville University, which is scheduled to begin Jan. 12, 2015, is an alternative preschool program for children ages 2-3 for two hours, two days a week. While kids enjoy arts and crafts as well as physical activities, they will also be taught the importance of transitions and sharing as Kidville teachers prepare them for a school environment. The program also starts children on the separation process, establishing individualized separation plans through parent-teacher correspondence. Kidville University enrollment is now available.

Rockin’ Railroad is an interactive music program that features a live four-piece band, puppets, and teaches rhythm, tempo, word recognition, and sound identification through instrument and music genre exploration. The program is also available in two options, Rockin’ Railroad for newborns to 5-year-olds and Rockin’ Railroad: Unplugged exclusively for newborns to 12-months. Rockin’ Railroad: Unplugged leads newborns and early toddlers through a variety of movement songs, group drumming exploration, and more.

“[Kidville] is a facility for parents to enjoy with their children,” says owner Alexis Fritz. “We want to provide the best possible environment for kids and their parents to have a great time to learn and develop while having fun.”

Classes are semester-based with open enrollment available. Membership to Kidville comes with registration of a class.
