Bennett Academy's Students Star in Online Talk Show

Bennett Academy, a performing arts school in New Rochelle, now offers online music classes via Skype, in addition to its music, theater, and film classes at the Westchester County location. It’s students now also star in an online talk show for kids—The Odella Williams Show.

Bennett Academy, a performing arts school for the aspiring artist, offers a variety of classes for children, including writing, theater, film, and musical classes. The school caters to all ages and offers classes for adults. Bennett Academy now offers online music classes via Skype.

At Bennett Academy students receive individual attention while learning in a classroom environment. Many students also receive real work experience in the film and music industry. “It is not uncommon for students to receive representation from agents that have connections to shows on Broadway,” says owner Andrea Bennett.

Bennett Academy’s students are also the stars of its new talk show, The Odella Williams Show. The main characters, Odella Williams and Oprah Winfrey, compete with one another as Winfrey tries to steal Williams’s show ideas. The talk show uses humor to discuss serious topics with kids like bullying and “mean girls.” The show is currently a series on YouTube, but it will soon be filmed in front of a live studio audience for its launch as a web series in the spring of 2014.

Bennett Academy is now accepting registrations for the fall semester.
