Park Slope to Host Brooklyn's Newest Food Festival

Park Slope to Host Brooklyn's Newest Food Festival

The first annual Dine in Park Slope will feature special deals at restaurants in and around Park Slope, Brooklyn from August 20 to August 30.

Don’t let anyone fool you—summer is still going strong. Before school starts and schedules get chaotic, savor those long, carefree days of summer by capping the night with an excellent meal at an even better price. Park Slope is welcoming a brand new 10-day food festival by the 5th Avenue BID, the North Flatbush BID, and the Park Slope Chamber of Commerce. During the first annual event, from August 20 through August 30, local residents and visitors can take advantage of special deals at restaurants in and around Park Slope, Brooklyn.

There are currently 40 great deals available. Some offerings include free coffee at Doughnut Plant, a special prix fixe three-course menu at Blue Ribbon Brasserie, and 20 percent off at Colony 274.

Mark Caserta, executive director of the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID, says Dine in Park Slope grew from a desire to find ways for local small businesses to work together and to increase foot traffic during slower summer days.

“We’re hoping to put people in the streets, get them to try adjacent shops, try a bar they’ve never seen before,” Caserta told AM New York.

Visit Dine in Park Slope’s website for a full list of participating restaurants or to sign your business up to participate in the festival.
