Phillips Pediatrics Medical Practice Opens in Flatbush

Phillips Pediatrics, a children's health care practice, recently opened in Flatbush. The pediatrician's office serves children in the Lefferts Gardens and Flatbush neighborhoods of Brooklyn.

Phillips Pediatrics, a pediatric health care practice owned by Danielle Phillips, M.D, opened in December on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn.

Dr. Phillips, a Brooklyn native who is a graduate of New York Medical College, is a pediatric physician whose focus is on providing services including newborn care, routine well-child care, comprehensive diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses.

Phillips Pediatrics serves the Lefferts Gardens/Flatbush neighborhoods, where she believes her practice stands out as one of the few medical facilities focusing on pediatric care.

“I believe in treating my patients as I would treat my own family. Just to have that kind of personal connection with the children and the parents, it means a lot,” says Dr. Phillips, who spent 10 years working with an HMO before opening her own practice.

Other services Dr. Phillips provides patients—ages newborn to 19—include weight management assistance and anticipatory guidance to prepare parents for the different stages in their child’s life.

“My mission is to provide education to the parents as well as providing medical care,” says Dr. Phillips, who has been in pediatric services since 1998. “I have workshops that help to empower the parents so that they don’t have to run to the emergency room. They can handle minor things on their own, and if they need me they can call me or bring their child in. My goal is to have healthy children grow up to be healthy adults.”
