Rutgers Church Offers Afternoon Preschool Alternative

Rutgers Church’s Ready, Set, Go! preschool alternative program will be offered in the afternoons this fall. The program, for children ages 3-5, is a great supplement to other preschool programs children may already be enrolled in, according to program director Jennifer Moore. The program offers art, storytelling, dance, and gym activities, as well as special activity days.

Rutgers Church’s Community Programs will now offer its preschool alternative Ready, Set, Go! in the afternoons this fall. The program offers art, storytelling, dance, and gym activities to children ages 3-5. The maximum class size is 12 students with at least three instructors. Classes are offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1-3:30pm. Children will have opportunities for creative and hands-on activities everyday.

“We are really excited about extending our program to an afternoon session,” says program director Jennifer Moore. “We offer many activities that make Ready, Set, Go! a great addition to other preschool alternatives kids may be enrolled in.”

During “Special Days,” instructors and students participate in fun, interactive events. In Busy Bee Story Book Theatre on Tuesdays, children craft outfits and act out the story of the day. Other fun events include, Dance Around the World and a day at the gymnasium. The gymnasium has parachutes for play and plenty of space to create obstacle courses.

Children will learn literacy, science, and music skills through interactive projects. A science expert has been added to the Ready, Set, Go! team and helps children complete many different science experiments together.
