Saint Ignatius Loyola School Enhances Music and Tech Offerings


Saint Ignatius Loyola School is expanding students’ horizons with ukuleles and tablets.  

Saint Ignatius Loyola School, located at 48 E. 84th St., is a fully renovated Catholic School in a Jesuit Parish with over a 160-year history.

The 540 students in kindergarten through eighth grade enjoy a rigorous academic program using the latest Smartboard and iPad technology. Core classes include on-level and accelerated math and English language arts, Latin, social studies, science, science lab, and religion. All students also participate in music, art, computer, library, and physical education classes.

New this school year, seventh and eighth grade students are learning musical theory and practice through playing the ukulele.

There are also new SurfacePro tablets available to students in the state-of-the-art technology lab.



Saint Ignatius Loyola School helps students maintain a healthy balance between extracurricular activities and their studies including after-school clubs, sports programs, music programs, and community service projects.
