Saved by the Bell Socially Distanced Pop-Up Comes to NYC

Saved by the Bell Socially Distanced Pop-Up Comes to NYC

The pop-up meals will be carry-out or delivery only in order to maintain social distancing and customer safety.

In honor of National Saved by the Bell Day on Aug. 20, fans of the 90's sitcom in New York (and Chicago and Los Angeles) can now bring Bayside High into their homes in a unique and safe way from Aug. 20-Aug. 25 with the all-new traveling, pop-up experience, Saved by the Max. Inspired by the campus hangout in the show, this socially distanced carryout experience will transport fans back to the 90's with a selection of Saved by the Bell-themed meals and snacks along with carry out kits.

This pop-up will be unlike those you are used to, however, due to the extra push for safety in the era of coronavirus. All pre-purchased experiences will be available for delivery through Tock or pick-up at NYC's Planet Hollywood at 1540 Broadway. Each carryout includes a pick-up time window, staggered guest arrival times, social-distancing, and proper sanitation between each guest window. Staff will be wearing facial coverings and barriers will be installed in instances where customers cannot maintain 6 feet distance.

Beginning 1pm on Friday, guests can pre-order a "Bayside Preppy Pack," which includes their choice of Bayside Burger and a side of Home of the Tigers Tater Totz, plus an exclusive Class of 2020 gift. Add-ons include Spano Sides like Friends Forever Side Salad with ginger dressing, Kapowski Fries with cheesy option, Zack's Sweet Talking Cookies, and Max's Magical Gooey Brownie.

The "At Home Detention" carry out kit includes a DIY Screech's Secret Spaghetti Sauce, the I'm So Excited Coffee experience, and The Attic's 21+ Beverage Menu including Mr. Dewey's Build It At Home Cocktail Kit, See Ya Slater To Go Cocktail Pouch, and the signature Lisa Turtle (mango tonic with a kiwi twist, available with or without alcohol).

“We’ve all seen the hospitality industry turned upside down these past months,” one of the pop-up’s creators, Derek Berry, told CBS 4 New York. “And with fans still yearning for more we saw the opportunity to bring back the Bayside spirit. We’ve loved expanding our pop-up success into working with other nostalgic properties (Good Burger, The Peach Pit, The Breaking Bad Experience, Mooby’s) and in our hearts we knew there was no better time to bring back a taste of Saved by the Bell.”

A Saved by the Bell "reimagining" was announced last September to premiere on NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock. To get yourself in the spirit, stream the original Saved by the Bell on Peacock now.
