Tennis Center in Port Chester Now Offering New Classes

Sound Shore Indoor Tennis is now offering new classes and programs, including Cardio Boot Camp.

The Boot Camp class combines tennis with a workout designed to raise the heart rate. The fast-paced workout gets participants moving with quick drills and games, all while holding a racquet.

Also new are the Drop-In Clinics, designed for those with a busy schedule. Players can drop-in for an hour-long clinic with a certified tennis professional to hone their skills. Clinics are offered Monday through Sunday, daytime and evening.

For beginners, Sound Shore now offers a Starter Tennis program to introduce new players to the game.

“We’ve been here for 42 years, so on one hand we have a lot of tradition and know things that work well, but every season we try to innovate, come up with new things, keep it fresh, and listen to what our customers want,” says Angela Stevens, marketing director.

Kids and teens ages 4 and older can improve their skills in the Junior Tennis Program. The 10 and Under Tennis program includes appropriately sized racquets, courts, and nets to help development.
