    Bob Murphy's Violin Shop in Melville Gives the Gift of Music to Two Usdan Campers

    On Thursday, August 9 at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts, Bob Murphy’s Violin Shop in Melville awarded two of the camp's outstanding students new instruments.

    Violinist Allison Arias, a student at Celia Cruz High School of Music in the Bronx and violist Eliel De Los Santos of Brentwood High School in Brentwood, were nominated by their instructors and Usdan Executive Director Lauren Brandt Schloss for their hard work and dedication to their instruments.



    Rob Murphy was on hand to present each of the young musicians with new German instruments and a pledge for lifetime repair.

    The heartwarming presentation took place during final days of Usdan's 50th anniversary season, which ended on August 9.
