CGI Braves and CGI Baseball Merged with Regionally Ranked New Jersey Wolfpack Travel Team

Wolfpack is owned and operated by former professional player Shawn Senior.

CGI Braves & CGI Baseball have merged with the regionally ranked New Jersey Wolfpack, according to a press release. Wolfpack is owned and operated by former professional player and North Carolina State Wolfpack alum Shawn Senior. The Long Island extension, the “495 Wolfpack,” moved into the "Wolf Den" facility in Huntington this past September.

“We were looking to expand our team to Long Island and loved the CGI Braves philosophy and player results," said Shawn Senior in a press release. "Together we will grow this program into a nationally recognized program. Rob Steinert (former professional athlete and owner/ operator of Wolfpack Baseball) is the best pitching instructor in the country."

Steinert has had 42 players drafted, 155 NCAA D1 scholarships, and 300 NCAA players come out of Wolfpack Baseball in his career. In addition, his position as a Chicago Cubs associate scout adds credibility to the Wolfpack name.

“One of my greatest passions is to develop individual player’s talent. Now we have a platform to take the top players and make them even better," said Steinhert in a press release. "We now have the ability to compete on a regional and national stage where college coaches will attend our games and work-outs, looking for the best of the best. I am very proud of what the CGI Baseball and the CGI Braves program accomplished and I look forward to our new chapter as the Wolfpack."

The 495 Wolfpack trains at the premier Winners Edge Sports Training location (separate from all WEST programs). This location is just 1.5 miles away from CGI Baseball.

The "Wolf Den" training facility has four newly renovated full length batting cages and a 115 x 55 “spinturf” field, which is the top indoor field in Suffolk County. This field allows the 495 Wolfpack fielders to field live ground-balls during the winter, allows infielders/outfielders and pitchers to long toss and take their speed and agility program to elite levels. This facility provides the 495 Wolfpack players with the finest training Long Island has to offer.

Senior and Steinert anchored pitching staff on national power NC St. Wolfpack in 1992 and 1993 where they finished top five in the country both years. In 1992, they won the ACC Championship and had the best record in the country. Steinert and Senior were both drafted the following seasons to the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox.

The 495 Wolfpack will play in the top leagues and attend top tournaments and will look for serious players that want to win and showcase their skills.
