Help Construct 320-Pound LEGO Replica of the Brooklyn Bridge in Grand Central Station

Team up with LEGOLand Discovery Center Westchester to build a replica of the Brooklyn Bridge in Vanderbuilt Hall at Grand Central Station tomorrow!

To commemorate the 135th Anniversary of the completion of the Brooklyn Bridge, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester will reconstruct a replica in Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday, July 17. During the free event, which will take place in Vanderbilt Hall East from 9am-5pm, visitors can help erect the LEGO monstrosity.

Once completed, the 320-pound model, comprised of more than 62,000 LEGO bricks of various shapes, sizes, and colors, will be more than four feet wide, four feet high, and 11 feet long.

“It’s an honor to celebrate the spirit of imagination by sharing the LEGO build experience with New Yorkers of all ages and capturing an iconic symbol of human innovation,” Chris Mines, the general manager of LEGOLand Discovery Center Westchester, said in a statement.

Visitors will also hear from special guests Eric Adams, Borough President of Brooklyn, and Scot Tatelman, co-founder of STATE, a Brooklyn-based company that provides backpacks and school supplies to help students in need to succeed, during a special ceremony from 2:30-3:30pm.
