Key to My Art Studio Opening a Location in East Rockaway in June

Key to My Art studio will open a location in East Rockaway in early to mid-June. The newly renovated studio will offer art classes in all mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. It will also offer birthday paint parties as well as private events for all ages, from kids to adults.

This summer, camp programs will be offered as well as special paint events during school holidays.

Riesa Fischer, owner, is a New York State certified art teacher with a lifetime of experience working in the arts. She has worked in the classroom with children and adults from all over the world as well as children with special needs. She is very patient, caring, and encouraging and even speaks a little Spanish.

"Our studio was created to provide the community with a place to come and use new materials, learn new techniques, and practice old ones in an environment that feels good," says Fischer. "While we provide guidance and instruction, children who wish to scribble are encouraged to scribble! We do not encourage "coloring in the lines", or trying to make things look "perfect."

There is always a positive, encouraging environment for you and/or your child to work in, with no judgements or harsh criticism.
