American Girl’s 2016 Girl of the Year™ Announced

American Girl’s 2016 Girl of the Year™ Announced

American Girl®, the maker of unique dolls loved by girls of all ages has just announced their Girl of the Year for 2016, Lea Clark™. The 18-inch doll comes with a special story and mission much like the other dolls created by the company.

Lea is a budding photographer who adores wildlife and adventure. In fact, Lea plans a trip to Brazil in her book written by Lisa Yee. With her Brazilian friend Camila, Lea visits her brother Zac who is there to study the Amazon rainforest. Lea photographs her trip and learns so much while experiencing a variety of challenging scenarios.

American Girl wants to support the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) with the announcement of Lea as Girl of the Year through their Wild at Art program. With every purchase of a plush animal in the Lea collection, American Girl will donate $1 to WWF through Dec. 31, 2016. They are also urging girls to host art sales and donate their proceeds to the WWF.

The Lea doll is on sale now, along with related toys, clothes, accessories, books, and apps. She is only available through Dec. 31, 2016 or until supplies run out. Visit the American Girl store online for purchase and more info.
