Origami, Craft, and Lego Classes at Aurelia’s Creative Space

Origami, Craft, and Lego Classes at Aurelia’s Creative Space

Aurelia’s Creative Space opened this past July as a craft and accessories shop, but after receiving multiple requests, it has begun to offer birthday parties and classes as well. Starting this November, kids ages 4-12 can learn sewing, origami and paper-crafts, jewelry making, and Lego play.

Classes are instructed by New York certified art-teachers, cost $20, and can accommodate a maximum of 6 children. Weekday classes are held from 4-5pm; sewing on Tuesdays, origami and paper crafts on Wednesdays, and jewelry making on Fridays.

LEGO classes develop many skills such as direction following, task completion, patience, conceptualization, independent thinking, imagination, creativity, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and socialization. Different classes focus on different skills. In Let’s Create A Kit Together, kids with an instructor and follow directions, while in Can You Create This?, kids must conceptualize the project without use of the manual. In Tell a Story Lego Play, kids must use speech and language to tell a story using pre-made Pirate and city kits. This holiday season in the Lego room, kids can build Lego-gingerbread men and a gingerbread village. Lego classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5:30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10-11:15am.

Birthday parties at Aurelia’s include craft and jewelry making led by certified art-teachers, as well as a festive origami piñata, pizza, and drinks. Parties start at $345 for 12 people.

Aurelia’s also sells organic soaps and bath balms, craft-goods and ribbons.
