A Nonprofit Performing Arts School Opens in Midtown

Broadway Arts Factory, a nonprofit performing arts school in Manhattan, aims to train the next generation of Broadway stars with a high-end and professional acting experience. The instructors are a part of the Broadway community, who are highly-skilled and passionate about the theater. The school's tuition is based on your family's annual income, so it's affordable for everyone.

Broadway Arts Factory, a nonprofit school in Manhattan, is bringing a new high-end and professional acting experience to passionate musical theatre students age 11-18. The school opens its doors Sept. 8 and will offer classes every Saturday during the school year. BAF offers well-rounded, versatile training in dance, voice, and acting, as well as learning about the business and performing arts industry as a whole. The school aims to train the next generation of Broadway performers.

“We are solely dedicated to the art form. Our educators are highly skilled and part of the Broadway community. We found a pool of artistic teachers who are passionate about dance, acting, and voice,” Ben Hartley, artistic director of BAF says. The school focuses on training the students to be a triple threat, and introduces them to Broadway artists who act as mentors and support systems even after graduation.

The school has a sliding scale for tuition, so program fees are based on the finances of each student’s family and what they are able to afford. “Any passionate student can have this opportunity no matter what their financial situation might be,” Hartley says.
