New Ride Opens at Fantasy Forest Amusement Park

New Ride Opens at Fantasy Forest Amusement Park

You can now enjoy a spin in the Twirling TeaCups at Fantasy Forest Amusement Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.

The family-friendly amusement park recently opened the classic teacup ride, in which visitors can spin as fast or as slowly as they wish. Guests must be 36-inches tall to ride alone, but children under that height may still experience the ride with an adult alongside, who can ride for free (one free adult per child under 36-inches tall).

If the thought of going on a spinning teacup ride gets you a bit nostalgic, well, that's part of the point.

“In keeping with the tradition of our other rides at Fantasy Forest, we wanted to install an attraction that children and parents could enjoy together," said David P. Galst, managing director of NY Carousel (which operates the park). "The Twirling TeaCups will evoke nostalgia among parents while creating thrills for the children. Together, it will create memories for all!”

The Twirling TeaCups ride joins several other family-friendly attractions and games at Fantasy Forest Amusement Park, including the Corona Cobra Coaster (a family roller-coaster), the Flushing Meadows Carousel, The Queens Himalaya (alpine sled), and the Corona Choo-Choo (classic train-ride), according to a press release.

“This is the perfect ride to add to the various sensations that our attractions offer at Fantasy Forest," Kassandra Pearson, park manager of Fantasy Forest, said in a press release. "We had the Frog Hopper that drops you, the Bouncy Baja Buggies that bounces you, the Queens Motor Speedway that turns you, and the Corona Cobra Coaster that speeds you around its track. Now, we have the Twirling TeaCups that spins you!”
