The 2023 Support-A-Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer, presented by Support Connection, Inc. will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1. Participants are welcome to walk at FDR State Park, or in their own communities nationwide. Proceeds provide funding for Support Connection’s year-round breast, ovarian and gynecological cancer support services, which have helped thousands of people since the organization was founded in 1996. It’s easy to participate. Walk with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers. Ask others to contribute by creating an online fundraising page.

WHAT: Enjoy a celebration of songs from musicals with Supernatural, Horror and Sci-Fi themes in Broadway Fright Night. Created and hosted by New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, five of Broadway’s finest vocalists will pay homage to Broadway and Off-most original, intriguing and terrifying characters in this all-new concert event. Scheduled performers include Richard Todd Adams (The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera; Javert in Les Miserables; The Woman in White; The Pirate Queen), Jackie Burns (longest running Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked; Hair; If/Then), Sara Jean Ford (Christine Daae in the The Phantom of the Opera; Cats; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; A Little Night Music; Finian’s Rainbow), Jenny Lee Stern (Rocky; A Christmas Story; Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking; Forbidden Broadway: The Next Generation; Spamilton) and Michael Wartella (Boq in Wicked; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; Tuck Everlasting). The evening will include musical selections from Wicked; The Phantom of the Opera; Jekyll and Hyde; Little Shop of Horrors; The Rocky Horror Show; Sweeney Todd; Young Frankenstein; Dance of the Vampires; Bat Out of Hell; The Addams Family; Back to the Future; The Secret Garden; Dracula the Musical and much more! Musical Director/Accompanist will be Eugene Gwozdz.
There will also be a Costume Contest where audience members are encouraged to dress as their favorite Broadway characters. This “spook-tacular” evening is certain to give audience members of all ages thrills and chills.
