Holy Cross High School Announces Coeducation for Class of 2022

Holy Cross High School, formerly an all-boys Catholic school, will introduce coeducation for the class of 2022.

Holy Cross is a college preparatory school that educates the hearts and minds of young people following the educational and spiritual vision of its founder Blessed Father Basil Moreau C.S.C. It recently announced a move to coeducation starting with the class of 2022.

In the spring of 2017, Holy Cross High School enhanced its mission by announcing the decision to move to coeducation. This fall, young women entering freshman year in September 2018 can apply to join Holy Cross. With this decision, Holy Cross joins the vast majority of schools sponsored by the congregation of Holy Cross in the United States who have also observed the guidance of Father Moreau.

Holy Cross High School educates young people in the Holy Cross tradition of the Catholic faith and to prepare them for future life situations. “How we educate the mind will change with the times, but how we cultivate the heart is, and will remain, timeless,” said Father Moreau in a statement.

Holy Cross High School’s student-to-teacher ratio is 12-to-1. It offers more than 50 electives and 25 advanced placement and honors courses, sparking new interests and allowing students to carve a personalized career path, including pre-med, computer science, and engineering.

Holy Cross High School is dedicated to providing a challenging college preparatory education aligned with state and national criteria through various academic programs. They also offer a strong alumni network offering invaluable guidance to students as they explore their colleges of choice.

Holy Cross High School is located at 26-20 Francis Lewis Blvd. in Flushing. For more information call 718-886-7250, email [email protected] or visit holycrosshs.org.
