Etiquette and Manners Lessons Offered in Coram

The Metropolitan Center for Etiquette and Protocol recently opened its location in Coram. Children enrolled at the center learn proper etiquette, such as dining room etiquette, proper posture, and manners. The Suffolk County center also offers French academic and tutoring programs for area children to take French lessons. Center president Mirielle Nastorg-Mykel is a native French speaker and experienced tutor.

Whether your child needs help for French class at school or could simply brush up on their p’s and q’s, the Metropolitan Center for Etiquette and Protocol and its French Academic and Tutoring program can help. Founded in Queens in 2008, the Center opened a location in Coram in August and offers a curriculum that can instill good manners in children ages 5 and older.

With the help of center president Mireille Nastorg-Mykel, an experienced tutor and native French speaker, etiquette students learn the importance of everything from proper posture to dining room etiquette. “Manners make a big difference,” says Nastorg-Mykel, who also serves as the Etiquette consultant for Nickelodeon. “These lifelong skills help children project themselves with self-confidence.”

Children and teens interested in learning French can navigate the intricacies of French grammar and pronunciation with age-appropriate games and creative activities. The group and private classes are taught with French teaching materials that make studying the language fun.
