Invite Reptiles to Your Child's Next Birthday Bash

My Reptile Guys, an Atlanta-based birthday party entertainment business, now offers their three party packages in the New York metro area. Each party includes reptiles visiting your home, the birthday or girl is involved in the show, and a petting zoo experience after the show.

My Reptile Guys, an Atlanta-based birthday party entertainment business, will offer its reptile party packages to New York families at their homes starting Oct. 1. The family-owned business is changing to a national model starting in Nassau County and the surrounding New York metro area and will eventually offer their party packages in New Jersey and other East Coast locations.

Glen Cohen, owner of My Reptile Guys, has always had a fascination with reptiles, and when a local pet store opened, his children were only allowed to get reptiles as pets. Since then, the family has adopted many other reptiles through rescues and donations.

My Reptile Guys was “something that evolved naturally,” Cohen says. It started when one of his kids’ teachers asked him to bring the reptiles in and give a presentation to the class. The children went home and told their parents—some of them called Glen to see if he would do the presentation at birthday parties, and the business took off.

There are three party packages to choose from, which are all “very interactive…kids can hold, touch, and experience the animals,” Cohen says. “And there has never been problem or incident. All the animals are child-friendly.” Each package includes the birthday boy or girl in the show, a grand finale where the partygoers stand under the Burmese python named Mellow Yellow for a photo, and a petting zoo after the presentation where the children interact with the animals.
