Theater School for Kids to Add Lower Manhattan Camp

Play On! Studios is adding a new camp location at Pine Street School in Lower Manhattan, which will host a Creative Drama Camp for kids in July.

“We have never been able to offer camps anywhere other than the Upper West Side, so we are happy to be bringing our most popular camp there, the Creative Drama Camp,” says Elisa Winter, founding director.  

The Creative Drama Camp is for kids in kindergarten to fourth grade. During one-week camp sessions, campers will act, sing, and play drama games. They will also work toward putting together a full show under the tutelage of professional NYC actors and teaching artists, who will help build up the children's skills in a nurturing, non-competitive environment. 

The Creative Drama Camp at Pine Street School (25 Pine St.) in Lower Manhattan will run for three weeks: July 10-14, July 17-21, and July 24-28. The camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm on all days but Friday, when the camp is extended until 4pm to allow time for final performances. An extended day option is available until 5pm Monday through Thursday and early drop-off is available each day beginning at 8:30am. 

Additional camps are available through Play On! Studios on the Upper West Side, held at either Ballet Hispanico at 167 W. 89th St., or Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew at 263 W. 86th St. Upper West Side camps include Musical Theater Performance and Musical Theater Revue, as well as the Creative Drama Camp and various holiday camps throughout the year. 

Play On! Studios also offers year-round audition and acting classes as well as music lessons and birthday party packages.
