Family Chiropractic Opens New Location in Long Island

Family chiropractor, Dr. Dana Walters, expands her Long Island practice to Great Neck.

ChiroMom opened a second location on Long Island this November, and Dr. Dana Walters will be in-office Tuesdays and Fridays, offering the same services as her Bellmore location. She treats the whole family, from infants to grandparents.

According to Dr. Walters, chiropractic adjustments may alleviate many different symptoms for infants and small children, from the birth trauma and in-utero positioning – such as colic, and sleep and nursing issues, as well as helping with early development and strengthening of neck and back muscles.  Older children may benefit from chiropractic adjustment by relieving spinal stress as they grow and experience common ailments of childhood, such as allergies, colds, and even ear infections.

“We aren’t treating any specific condition, but we’re resetting and removing pressure from the nervous system which controls every other system in the body,” Dr. Walters says.

Chiropractic can also be great for women during and post-pregnancy by relieving pressure of the spine, keeping the body aligned has her body changes, and new moms who are constantly lifting their kids. ChiroMom also offers massage, and nutritional and lifestyle education for kids and adults .
