Fly a kite in Astoria Park. On a clear day, this is the spot to be, with an open field and expansive views of the East River.

Eat Greek at an Astoria restaurant.
Even picky eaters will usually dive into a plate of creamy hummus. Let them do that while you feast on delicious dishes of the most authentic Greek food this side of the Aegean.

Check out the Long Island City Rooftop Farm.
This rooftop organic farm has Family Farm Day programs once a month and regular visiting hours to check out their curious, cool work.

Romp through Socrates Sculpture Park.
An awesome Long Island City greenspace with activities for kids, East River views, outdoor sculptures, and more.
